AUBURN, Ala.- The Auburn Community Orchestra (ACO) and Emma Dansak, ACO member and string instructor, will host a FREE String Instrument Repair Open House this Sunday, Sept. 7, from 4-6 p.m. at the Jan Dempsey Community Arts Center (JDCAC). This event is for individuals who own violins, violas, guitars, mandolins or other assorted string instruments that they have questions about or that need repair.

Emma will be assisted by Nathan Glazier who will advise instrument owners on the approximate values, conditions and playability of their instruments, and will either provide discounted minor repairs or make their best estimate for what repairs are needed, directing them to shops where those repairs are offered.

Come out and enjoy an afternoon of figuring out how to repair your instrument and get answers to any questions you have! There are no questions too small. Attendees will also have an opportunity to learn about ACO, its upcoming concerts and how to get involved.
